Special Camp for Rural & Community Development

'Umeed' also organizes Mega medical camps using the medical services of specialists from Cardiology, Dentistry, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, Gynecology and Pediatrics at various villages. Each of these camps is held in a cluster of 20 villages treating approximately 1000 patients.

Umeed has provided the best medical care, irrespective of the financial strata of the beneficiaries. Umeed has already organized seven heart camps in collaboration with India's leading cardiology hospital - Escorts Heart & Research Institute, New Delhi. We have provided free consultation and tests to the poor which would normally cost Rs. 30,000/- £ 400 per person. Till date advanced check-ups for over 2,500 patients has been done after screening approximately 10,000 potential heart patients.

For the last six years a Reproductive and Child Health programme is being organized, where over 140,000 poor people have benefitted. Each year a cluster of five to seven villages are covered, thereby reaching out to over 20,000 adolescents & women. Under this programme, 'rural women and adolescents' enjoy the benefits of medical check-up, medicines and advice from a highly qualified Gynecologist.
