Entering politics from a non-political family is one of the hardest things to do. But Arvind was up for this challenge and received his initiation in politics at the grassroots. His work in Sangrur got him noticed and he was elected as an MLA from Sangrur in 2002. This gave him the further impetus to work the people of Sangrur.
Arvind is enthusiastic that young and educated people are joining politics to bring about a positive change in the country. Arvind is a firm believer that this change will come if initiatives are taken and implemented at the grassroots. A new and strong India will emerge from Tier II and Tier III towns and not the eight big cities that get the government’s unfaltering attention. This belief propels Arvind TO work relentlessly for the uplift of the underprivileged section of society.
Arvind contested in the recently-held state assembly election with a ticket from Dhuri.
